Make it a legal requirement to call the police if you hit a cat with your car
Make it a legal requirement to contact the police when someone has accidentally hit a cat with their car. Cat's do not deserve to be left in the street or by the side of the road, and without a requirement to report an accident, we are allowing them to be.
At the moment, it is not a legal requirement to call the police when you hit a cat accidentally with your car. Cats are beloved pets and should not be left by the side of the road while their owners worry about where they are. This is not a call for punishment, but a call for compassion. It is a small ask, but will make a big difference.
