Pause and review the net zero renewable energy development drive.
Review net zero, and the associated planning practice and policy across central and devolved governments of the UK. We think local environment and local communities should be given greater priority in decisions.
We believe the current drive for net zero is being rushed, and that this could be at the expense of communities and our fragile natural environments like water courses, peatlands and other habitats.
We think the cumulative impact of developments are not currently being adequately considered.
We think this cannot positively contribute to addressing the climate emergency.
