Petition against proposed benefit cuts to disabled people
Support the disabled and sick people in society, these proposals are going to put many into poverty meaning they lose everything.
The proposal to make being awarded PIP harder than it is now, and making it that if you don't get awarded, you will also lose the sickness part of UC is discrimination.
We need the government to overhaul the assessment process, so that professional evidence is accepted as fact, ie doctors and specialists.
Awards should be made on the basis of this, if no evidence is supplied an assessment is carried out by a medical professional who determines if an award is justified.
If PIP and working are going to be linked then PIP assessment needs to include capability for working as well as care/mobility needs.
