Petition Action

Reconsider proposed changes for PIP and Universal Credit’s health element LCWRA

Petition Details

Reconsider proposed changes re: reducing benefits for disabled individuals, support the most vulnerable in society (including age 22 & under), avoid plunging disabled individuals into poverty which as a result adds further strain to the NHS due to the increase in poverty related health care

Additional Information

The benefits system isn’t working for people with lifelong conditions like Crohn’s & Colitis, as a result, people are being let down by the Government. Changes to PIP & Universal Credit’s health element (LCWRA) will make things even harder, Government understands that health conditions can fluctuate especially with lifelong conditions like Crohn’s & Colitis & impacts people of all ages, life with a chronic condition is unpredictable enough without adding financial uncertainty to the mix
