Social media poses serious risks to under-16s' mental health, exposing them to harmful content, cyberbullying, and unrealistic online personas. Developing brains are vulnerable, impacting social and emotional growth. A ban, while complex, highlights the urgent need to protect young people online, aligning with the UK's Online Safety Act goals.
