Enhance Public Education & Civic Understanding for a More Informed Electorate
Integrate critical thinking, research, fact-checking skills, and comprehensive education on the political system and government mechanisms into the National Curriculum. This will empower students to make informed decisions and better resist manipulation once they join the electorate.
Boosting the public's critical thinking, research and fact-checking skills alongside their understanding of our political system and government mechanisms will help foster a more informed and resilient citizenry, less vulnerable to malign influence and lies, both foreign and domestic, safeguarding our democracy in an increasingly volatile world. Furthermore, by teaching these essential skills in schools, we can effectively deliver them to students' families and communities, enhancing reach.
