UK Government to recognise Nowruz and include it in the official UK calendar.
Formally recognition of Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, as a national cultural celebration in the United Kingdom, akin to how other cultural holidays such as Chinese New Year are officially acknowledged.
We are urging the UK Government to recognize Nowruz, the iranian new year, as a culturally significant event and include it in the official UK calendar.
I believe that officially recognising Nowruz would be a meaningful step toward celebrating the cultural diversity that makes the UK a unique and vibrant society.
