Stop Wirral Council's plans to increase the Chief Executive's salary by up to £40,000
Under the proposals the authority’s new top officer could earn £175,000 a year – plus pension and other costs of 22% or £38,500.
This is immoral at a time when so many local residents and even council employees have either lost their jobs or had their hours/wages reduced and when Wirral Council is being forced to reduce its spending by a further £70 million before 2018.
We, the undersigned, want the Government to prevent this pay rise.
