Call for Increased Business Rates Relief for Small Retail & Leisure Businesses
Increase business rates relief for small retail and leisure businesses from 40% back to 75%. The recent reduction has caused rates bills to more than double, jeopardizing the survival of many small businesses. Support is urgently needed to ensure their sustainability and growth.
The reduction in business rates relief from 75% to 40% has significantly increased costs for small retail and leisure businesses, doubling their rates bills. Many of these businesses are struggling to survive, threatening jobs and local economies. Restoring the relief to 75% will alleviate financial pressure, promote economic stability, and support the livelihoods of countless families and communities. Immediate action is crucial to prevent widespread closures.
