We request Transport for London to expedite private hire licence renewals.
We urge the Government and Parliament to urgently intervene in TfL’s delayed licence renewals. Please launch an inquiry, expedite processing, and issue temporary licences so drivers can work legally and avoid further financial hardship.
TfL’s licence renewal delays are severely affecting drivers, causing financial strain, mounting debt, and emotional stress. Many have been forced off the road, losing critical income while waiting months for their licences, despite applying well before expiry.
Government intervention is vital to restore trust and support essential workers. We need transparent investigations, expedited processing, and temporary licensing so drivers can continue working legally, protecting their livelihoods and easing hardship.
