Allow BNO students in the process of getting ILR to apply as home students

Petition Details

We urge the Government to ensure that BNO Visa students who will have Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) before the start of their university course are eligible to apply as home students when submitting applications through UCAS.

Additional Information

Currently, candidates who are due to obtain ILR before their course begins in September must still apply via the overseas student route if their ILR is not yet granted at the time of application. We feel this results in unfair treatment and may affect their chances of securing offers. We believe this policy should be updated to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all applicants.
