Remove the charge for 101 calls to Police in LONDON
London Metropolitan Police introduced 101 - the new number to call to contact your local police rather than 999 to report a crime that has already happened, seek crime prevention advice or make us aware of any policing issues in your local area.
However, London MET advise that calls to 101 from landlines and mobiles cost 15 pence per call, no matter what time of day you call or how long your call lasts.
The government must ensure that no call charges should be allowed as to charge could effect crime reporting statistics and it could have reputation issues on making money as a result of crime.
