Stop Carer’s Allowance from Being Deducted from Universal Credit.
Carer’s Allowance must be exempt from the Universal Credit income calculations, just as Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is exempt. Carers should be properly recognised and supported.
Carers are the backbone of our communities it’s time the system respected and supported them properly.
• End the deduction of Carer’s Allowance from Universal Credit.
• Value carers’ contribution to society fairly.
• Allow carers to keep both their Carer’s Allowance and full Universal Credit entitlement.
