Scrap six-year time limit for claims in Overseas Operations Act
We feel this time limit unfairly discriminates against veterans who may need more time to come forward with claims — especially in cases involving PTSD, delayed diagnoses, or where evidence surfaces later.
We feel it discriminates against those who served in overseas operations compared to those who served at home or in non-combat roles abroad. We believe that tragically, and ironically, it targets the very people who put themselves in harm’s way to protect the rights of every other citizen. We feel that if it wasn’t so serious and disrespectful, it would be laughable.
We are calling for Part 2 of this Act to be scrapped — not amended, not delayed — scrapped. We believe that justice must be equal for all, or it is not justice at all.
