Make secondary schools teach about endometriosis, vaginismus & hormonal cycle
We urge the Government to require secondary schools to teach about endometriosis, vaginismus, & the hormonal cycle. We feel this will increase accountability for the lack of education on women's health—both in health sector research and educational systems—by raising awareness.
After my own experience with vaginismus, I felt a profound loss of self-worth, with little support beyond an NHS website. Many young women share similar stories—struggling with conditions like endometriosis, vaginismus, and PMS without awareness or guidance. I believe this lack of education is not only isolating but potentially dangerous and may even intersect with issues like domestic violence.
