Ban public sector jobs from being replaced with external hires for 2 years

Petition Details

We urge the Government to pass a law which bans all public sector bodies from replacing cut or redundant roles with private contractors, consultants or overseas staff within two years of redundancy.

Additional Information

We believe all restructuring plans must include transparent reporting on external rehires and costs. We believe this must be applied to all public sector bodies, including the NHS. We are concerned that some NHS job cuts are being replaced by external contractors or other outside staff rather than those who need to be redeployed
