Introduce Routine Drug Testing for All Members of Parliment
We call on the UK Government to implement routine drug testing for all Memebers of Parliament.
Professional athletes, transport operators, military personnel, and others in public roles in the UK undergo routine drug testing for safety and integrity. We believe Members of Parliament (MPs) should also be subject to this standard. Routine drug testing for MPs would:
1. Enhance Public Trust: Ensure elected officials meet strict standards.
2. Ensure Sound Judgment: Help MPs make clear, reasoned decisions.
We, the undersigned, request Parliament legislate for routine drug testing of all sitting MPs and establish transparent supporting policies.
