Defend legal immigration: Keep ILR to 5 years for existing skilled workers
The Labour Government has announced plans to increase the settlement period required for ILR - from 5 to 10 years. This drastic change delays the path to permanent residency for many people who built their lives in the UK. We urge the government to reconsider this proposal and provide clear guidance
