Objection to Proposed Retrospective Extension of ILR Qualifying Period
We, the undersigned, call on the UK Government to immediately halt any proposed retrospective change to the Indefinite Leave to Remain qualifying period for Skilled Workers — increasing it from 5 to 10 years.
This breaks trust and harms thousands who built lives here under existing rules. We are taxpayers, workers, and community contributors. The change imposes unfair costs, disrupts families, and undermines faith in UK governance. We urge Parliament to stop this unjust proposal and protect those who followed the rules in good faith.
