Referendum ~ UK
No new unfair referenda on constitutional change.
It is perfectly clear to any reasonable, decent, intelligent person after the poll of September 2014 that the Scottish people have firmly and decisively rejected independence.by a large margin.Remaining in the UK,with all the benefits for us all in the UK that entails is their clear settled will.In the light of this it is only fair that the Government should introduce a bill into the Commons that prevents a small, unrepresentative(they got roughly 17% of the vote in the 2011 Scottish election) group of extremists like the SNP from forcing the holding of one referendum after another until they get the result they want. This bill should enforce a minimum of 30 years between referenda, longer if the 'no' vote is large.
This is only fair.
