Protect Care Workers from Exploitation—Reform the UK Valid Work Visa System
Urging the UK government to protect valid care visa holders from exploitation by enabling independent care visa. Current rules leave many vulnerable and unsupported. Reform will ensure fair employment, strengthen the care sector, and uphold justice, economic stability, and ethical labour standards.
Exploited Valid care visa holders are increasingly relying on NHS A&E services for mental health support due to stress, trauma, and job insecurity. These non-critical visits strain emergency resources, delay urgent care for others, and place pressure on already overburdened mental health services, highlighting the urgent need for reform to protect both workers and healthcare capacity

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do, we're not sure what changes you would like to the care visa system.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
