reduce sentence for Yusuf Sarwar and Mohammed Nahin Ahmed to be consistent with others
While these men are guilty of their crime the extent of the sentence is too long and even detrimental to the cause, especially as another man who was more dangerous only received a 4 year sentence for a similar crime. The sentence itself will set a bad example rather than a good one. Would have been better to give a 3-4 year sentence and a long suspended sentence in case of any repeat. All sentencing should be consistent but this is a very obvious example of inconsistency.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Sentences that appear to be too harsh are not ones in which the Attorney General's Office can intervene in. This is a matter that falls under the responsibility of the Ministry of Justice (www.gov.uk/moj) and you will need to contact them with your concerns.
The Attorney General's Office can only look into certain sentences that appear to be unduly lenient.
