People rarely seem to want to perform Jury service nor do they always seem like they are paying attention to the facts at hand, but more so the personality of the lawyers and the Judge.

I propose making up juries of professionals who have an understanding of how a courtroom works, some understanding of psychology and perhaps a working knowledge of police procedure.

This would hopefully offset Jury apathy and would also create another form of employment.

Any fear of Jury tampering could be lessened by random assignment of cases and would there by carry the same risk as the current jury service does.
