Reverse the Cuts to the Overseas Aid Budget.
Today 800 million go to bed hungry (WHO); 295 million face starvation.
The world faces water shortages, conflict over resources, disease - all driven by inequality and climate change.
In 2015 the UK enshrined in law its pledge to spend 0.7% GNI on Aid.
This is reducing to 0.3%.
Inequality always produces conflict, and instability produces more conflict.
We live in an interdependent world, in which we all have a moral responsibility to help alleviate the suffering of communities and people no matter how distant the lands in which they reside. In addition to this moral obligation, history teaches that it is folly if we turn a blind eye to the suffering which leads to instability in one part of the world, as this impacts upon the health and prosperity of another.
