Allow pets to travel in the cabin on commercial flights to and from the UK.
Revise aviation regulations to permit small pets to travel in the cabin—safely contained—on commercial flights to and from the UK. Work with airlines to ensure clear, fair, and consistent policies, aligning the UK with practices in the EU, US, and other nations.
Current cargo hold travel is stressful & potentially dangerous for pets. Allowing cabin travel significantly improves animal welfare. It's unfair that only private jet users currently have this option. Many countries (EU, US, Canada) allow it safely. Travel restrictions contribute to pet abandonment. Boarding/cargo is costly & stressful for owners. Solutions exist for allergies (limited pets/flight, HEPA filters, carrier rules, etc. This maintains all UK health/biosecurity standards.
