Ban In-Contract Price Hikes—Honour Fixed Full Contract Deals, Despite Inflation

Petition Details

We want the Government to ban all companies from raising prices during a fixed-term contract all together. We think a fixed deal should mean fixed price, and that allowing mid-contract hikes is unfair, especially during a cost-of-living crisis.

Additional Information

We believe allowing companies to raise prices during a fixed-term contract is unfair, even if the increases are advertised as per recent policy’s. Consumers enter fixed deals expecting stable costs. We think inflation shouldn’t justify breaking that trust. The Government must act to protect people from constant rising bills, especially ones where people are in fixed contracts. This should apply to all companies who supply contact based services.
