Strengthening UK Border Security in the English Channel.
Government to take immediate and robust action to secure the United Kingdom’s maritime borders, particularly in response to the increasing number of unlawful small boat crossings across the English Channel.
The Uk has a right—and a duty—to protect its territorial waters uphold its immigration laws, preserve confidence in a secure border system. The constant arrival of those trying to enter the UK unlawfully by sea, aided by criminal groups, represents a breach of immigration law, risk to life, security, and the rule of law.
