Give Pregnant Women the Support They Need: Blue Badges Now
To introduce a policy that grants temporary Blue Badge parking permits to pregnant women during the final months of their pregnancy.
Pregnancy, particularly in the final trimester, often comes with significant physical discomfort, reduced mobility, and increased fatigue—factors that make everyday tasks extremely difficult. Expecting mothers may experience swelling, back pain, pelvic pressure, and breathlessness, all of which can be exacerbated by unnecessary exertion. This is not about special treatment; it’s about recognising temporary but real mobility limitations and protecting the health of both mother and baby.
