Review duration of A-Level exams
I think Government should commission a review for the duration time of A-level exams, looking at whether more time is needed accommodate for human error and needs. I think this could create a fairer system and improve performance, prioritising depth of knowledge over speed.
I don't think the existing time is sufficient to display knowledge.
Students can work for 2 years with only 2 hours to show for it. I think the mantra used in schools of ‘1-mark-a-minute’ signifies the narrow allocated time students are funnelled through.
Depth and breadth of A-Level content is wide.
I think people who possess the knowledge of the syllabus are hindered, not given the chance to put it on paper.
