Petition Action

Accountability for Animal wefare

Petition Details

We need the government to address the abuse and torture of Animals in abbatoirs or anywhere that deals with farm Animals. Also accountability of abuser.

Additional Information

There are so many sensitive videos of Animal abuse especially in abbatoirs on Facebook it is sickening, something needs to be done not later it needs to be done now. What has happened to Animal welfare? Why is this being allowed to carry on? We need an MP that people can raise concerns to, not the amount of agencies that you have to go to.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do. There are already laws that forbid animal abuse and cruelty, as well as regulations on how animals should be treated on farms and at slaughterhouses.

You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.

You could ask your MP to take action on your concerns about this issue, including by asking them to present a public (paper) petition about this.

You can find contact details for your local MP here: members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP

And you can find out how to ask your MP to present a public (paper) petition here: www.parliament.uk/get-involved/sign-a-petition/paper-petitions/
