Ban the Use of Mobile Phones by Members of Parliament in the House of Commons
Parliament to implement a clear & enforceable ban on the use of mobile phones during all official proceedings within the House of Commons. We believe this measure will restore focus, decorum, and accountability, ensuring MPs fulfil their duties with the seriousness and respect the role demands.
We call for a ban on mobile phone use by MPs in the House of Commons. We believe phone use during debates distracts from serious decision-making, undermines public trust, and disrespects the role of elected officials. MPs should be fully engaged in representing the public, not scrolling or texting. For focus, accountability, and professionalism, we call for mobile phone use to be prohibited during all parliamentary proceedings.
