Ban mobile phones in the Commons Chamber whilst Parliament is sitting.
MPs should not take mobile phones into the Chamber. If this is allowed then they must be switched off, not just put in silent mode. Texting and carrying on conversations whilst in the Chamber and debates are in progress should not be permitted.
MPs are expected to pay attention to ongoing debates and discussions in the Chamber and it would appear that they are becoming a major distraction. This is disrespectful to both other MPs and the Electorate.
