Enforce tougher punishment for those who cause animal cruelty.
Once an animal has shows visible or emotional signs of abuse (whether in the home or in public) put in place a law where the guilty party is arrested and dependant on the extent of cruelty to receive a prison sentence.
More and more we hear about animal cruelty, cats having their ears cut off, eyes being injured and with dogs, throwing them off bridges, using them for dog fighting, an owner being neglectful and the dog being treated as a weapon/having to at times be put to sleep due to the carelessness of the breeders and owners.
This is happening far too often and some urgent action needs to be taken. This simply cannot go on!!
