Petition Action

We call on the Chancellor of the Exchequer to put an end to the ATED Stamp Duty exemption for residential properties purchased andheld in companies

Additional Information

Millionaire purchasers of houses, who do so through companies, are still getting away without paying their share of Stamp Duty.
By having an alternative to Stamp Duty, i.e ''annual tax on enveloped dwellings' (ATED)' the Chancellor has left an escape clause for the crafty rich.
Do away with this ATED and have just the straight forward rates of Stamp Duty that everyone then has to pay.
