Free childcare entitlements for adopted children while parent on adoption leave

Petition Details

Fund free childcare for adopted children whilst their parents are on adoption leave so they receive similar entitlements to working parents.

Additional Information

You may not be able to apply for working parent entitlements until one month before returning to work from adoption leave. This means that adopted children cannot access funded childcare like other children and receive a funded nursery education. We think that this means their education is impacted by their adoption status.
