Place a legal bond on the a66 dualing project
The government announced on 08/07/25 that they will complete the dualing of the a66. They have allocated £1.6 billion to this
We are petitioning that a Legal bond is placed on this, so if any future government cancels the plans. The monies allocated are spent solely within the region the a66 is.
Many times northern projects are cancelled. Leading to many places being left under developed and fall into disrepair and lead to poorer services and quality of living for the people who live there. The £1.6billion should be allocated solely to the region and if the dualing project is cancelled, it is spent on the local communities. Instead of elsewhere within the UK
