Dennis Newman to receive a Member of the British Empire award

My father, Dennis Newman, was responsible for the construction and repair of the doors of no's 10 and 11 Downing Street. The doors even successfully protected No.10 from a missile attack in the 1990's during John Major's tenure as PM. I also believe he designed the intricate locking mechanism.
