To keep Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCP) for SEND children and young people
Keep the EHCP's for SEND Children and young people and to reject / stop the proposal / idea made by the Labour party to scrap it.
An EHC plan is a legally binding document outlining a child or teenager’s special educational, health, and social care needs. The document has to list all of the child’s special educational needs, provision to meet each of the needs and that provision has to be specific, detailed, and quantified.
Without an EHCP schools are not obliged to make changes or put provisions in place to support the SEND Child, and unfortunately this happens all to often.
