Abolish waiting period to retake DVSA instructional ability test & add training

Petition Details

When a PDI or ADI fails their part 3 or standards check for the third time, they can lose their badge and therefore their job, and must wait 2 years before retaking.

We think this should be changed to mandatory extra training and retesting.

Additional Information

The pressure people put themselves under can make it harder to pass with every attempt, knowing they could lose their job.

People can end up unable to pay their bills and may lose their homes. We believe this isn't fair and could lead to poor and dangerous mental health problems.

We believe mandatory training and a retest for people who fail after the third attempt is a much better option.
