Revoke right to stay in UK for spouse visa holders who divorce.
We ask the Government to amend the Immigration Rules so that any person who enters the UK on a spouse visa and later divorces must return to their country of origin, unless there are exceptional humanitarian or legal reasons for remaining.
Spouse visas are granted based on a committed relationship. If the relationship ends, the basis for the visa no longer exists. This change would help prevent potential misuse of the system and ensure immigration rules remain fair and consistent.
