National referendum on whether the voting age should be 16 or 18
To hold a national referendum on the age of voting to decide whether it should be 18 or 16 years of age.
This is a major change to our democratic system and a decision of this magnitude should not be decided by government but by the general public.
This government was elected on a relatively small vote share and their views on the age of voting may not be reflective of the wider population.
A referendum will deliver a clear result and build national consensus.
