Bring back dog licensing to encourage responsible dog ownership
Bring back dog licensing at a price that emphasises the responsibility and care needed when owning a dog. The price should enable policing of irresponsible dog owners as microchips could be recorded on licences.
Pavements are littered with dog waste and dog pooh bags. Irresponsible owners fail to train and care for their dogs which can cause harm to the dog and danger to the public. The licence fee should be at a price that enables policing of irresponsible owners and would make clear the care and responsibility needed when considering dog ownership
