Put Any Change to the UK Voting Age to a Public Referendum
Require a national referendum before changing the legal voting age, to ensure such a key decision is made by the people and not imposed by politicians or used for party advantage.
Changing the voting age affects our democracy. It must be fair, transparent, and supported by the public, not pushed through by parties that may benefit. A referendum protects trust in the system.
