Increase UK Woodland Cover
Increase the amount of woodland in the UK from 12% to 50%.
If you really think the environment is less important than money, try holding your breath while you count your money.
There are many other benefits of planting new woodland – here are just some of them:
• give wildlife a helping hand
• create beautiful places for people
• support the environment
• remove poisonous gasses and provide oxygen
• enhance local business
• grow cover for game
• improve property values.
Finland and Sweden are amongst the highest with 68%+
Germany has 35%.
