Petition Action

Honour the full England Women's Team that won the 2014 RWC

Additional Information

In 2003 the Men's England Rugby team won the Rugby World Cup.

This achievement was subsequently recognised through the honours system.

Every member of the squad, plus 5 coaches received awards including a knighthood.

Although men's rugby is arguably more commercially successful it can not be claimed that the achievement of both men's and women's teams can be unequal.

Therefore in the interests of equality and to fairly recognise the women's rugby team, the government should reconsider their position and submit a proposal for the full squad to be honoured.
