Loosen restrictions, of the OSA for those who have already proven they're 18
Loosen the restrictions of the online safety act for those who have already proven they are 18, before the act was published. It is censoring everything and anything.
If you are not going to re-appeal the act then at least make the restrictions less harsh. As many websites are now fully blocked in the UK. And many apps/websites terms and conditions have changed to be able to fully monitor your activity's which is a breach of privacy. Not to mention that VPN's which protect you online are soon going to be banned as well. So please loosen the restrictions if you aren't going to fully reappeal the act.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do - we're not sure what you mean by having already verified your age before the Act passed.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
