Reduce the Age of Majority from 18 to 16.
The Government should amend the Family Law Reform Act 1969 and/or other current legislation so that the Age of Majority is reduced from 18 to 16.
Over 16's can now vote, but cannot buy tobacco, vapes, alcohol, lottery tickets, knives or get a tattoo due to age restrictions.
If 16 year olds are considered to have acquired capacity in full to vote, then they should be considered to have acquired capacity in full to be able to avail themselves of products and services that currently have age restricted to over 18's.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do - we're not sure what you would like 16 year old's to be able to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
