Ban tattoo schools in the uk
We urge the government to ban tattoo schools, enforce stricter standards, and require proper apprenticeships. Licensing must demand supervised training to protect public safety, stop unqualified artists, and preserve tattooing as a safe, skilled profession.
Tattoo schools put the public at risk. Week long courses churn out untrained artists, leading to unsafe practices, infections, and a collapsing industry. Veterans are leaving due to an overcrowded industry, studios are empty, and standards are gone. Ban these schools and bring back proper apprenticeships to protect both the craft and public safety.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We are not sure what you mean by tattoo schools. If you'd like the Government to set rules on the minimum standards that must be met for tattoo artist training, you could submit a petition about this, setting out more clearly what you'd like.
