Petition Action

Put pressure on Saudi Arabia regarding executions and death penalty

Petition Details

We urge the UK Government to use its influence to press Saudi Arabia to end executions for drug-related offences and crimes committed by individuals as children, and to impose a moratorium on the use of the death penalty generally.

Additional Information

According to several human rights groups, at least 322 people have been executed in Saudi Arabia in 2025 (as of 2 December), many for drug offences— disproportionately affecting foreign nationals. Others have been executed for so-called “terrorism”-related offences. Many more remain at risk. We are deeply concerned about reports of unfair trials and violations of international law, which limits the use of the death penalty to only the “most serious crimes.”
