1. Sovereignty and Parliamentary Supremacy
• The ECHR allows an external court in Strasbourg to override or influence UK court decisions.
• Leaving would mean final authority rests with UK courts and Parliament, without having to follow foreign judgments.
• Advocates argue this restores the principle that laws are made and interpreted entirely in the UK.
